1955 Chevrolet Nomad

55-chevy-nomadI bought this ‘55 Nomad back in 2012 in Greeley, CO, and brought it home to Minot ND and started to dismantle it. I got the kids and grand kids involved with the dismantling process AND the assembly process, from our car club. They loved it! It has a GM 350 crate engine backed up with a 700r4 automatic transmission. I finished the ’55 Nomad in August 2014 and now I drive it during the summer months, although it sits in storage during the winter months. I even drove it to the National Nomad Convention in Billings MT this past July and it took a 2nd place in its class. It has been a great car with lots of nice accessories. My Nomad most recently graced the cover of the July/August “Old Cars Price Guide”, 2016 edition in front of this gas station.

This was a great car. Have too many, so I sold it in '17 at the Motor Magic Classic Car auction in Minot, ND. I took this picture over in Grand Forks, ND along the dyke at the river. I was told about this gas station setting after a car show in that city. I know every aspect of this car as I did the frame-off restoration. I love talking about "THE BUILD". George---Minot, ND

Nice car. I had one in my youth. Now I have a 55 2 door sedan that I am still restoring.
