1962 Chevrolet Bel Air

1962 Chevrolet Bel Air

I have owned my 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air for about 18 years. Since purchasing it, I have made it a cruiser and powered it with a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Tuned Port Injected engine and backed it up with a 700r4 automatic/overdrive transmission. I had a friend who could paint and he expertly applied several coats of GM indigo blue metallic paint.

I used a mix of original and aftermarket parts during the restoration. Just a few of the aftermarket parts included a set JC Whitney seat covers and headliner. The door panels I recovered myself. I have taken the Bel Air to a lot of shows and always enjoy when I open the hood and they see the TPI engine, everyone says they did not expect that. Which makes me smile. Its been a fun car to show and drive and I plan on keeping it for a long time.
