I have owned my Lincoln Mark IV for 15 years. It’s all original, except I replaced the vinyl roof and upgraded the ignition system and carburetor to make it more reliable and perform better. I also replaced the tires last year.
The interior is red cloth and is completely original, including the carpet, and looks like new. Everything still works as it should, including the A/C climate control, the cruise control, and clock. The car rides and runs awesome and draws attention everywhere.
Sweet!
An absolutely beautiful car!
A true time capsule!
I have a Lincoln 1972 mark 4
Hello. My name is Jean-Marc van Tol, I'm Dutch. A friend of mine owns a Lincoln Mark IV 1972. He is looking for an Intermediate Cable for his car. He needs one, but can't find such a cable for his car here in The Netherlands. Do you guys have any idea? Could you help him?
THE 1972 MARK 4 LINCOLN IS THE FINEST LOOKING LINCOLN'S PERIOD. I ALWAYS WANTED TO HOT ROD ONE OUT OLD SCHOOL BY JACKING IT UP A LITTLE A SLIGHT RAKE TO THE CAR 12INCH WIDE 50 SERIES TIRES ON THE BACK IN 15INCH DIAMETER MAGS DEEP DISH WHEELS AND NARROWER 50S ON THE FRONT IN 15 INCH MAGS ON THE FRONT IN SHALLOWER DEEP DISH WHEELS NO MODS TO THE ENGINE EXCEPT A SET OF CERAMIC COATED HEADERS WITH A VERY STONG LOW QUIET RUMBLE WITH A SET OF NICE TAILPIPES OUT THE BACK COLOR PREFERABLY IN A NICE GARNET RED WITH A WHITE LANDOU ROOF
Nice mark IV, I just found a 1972 White with Burgandy Leather Interior and a factory sunroof. The car has 32000 miles on the OD. It was in a heated barn unregistered since 1979. The motor started after replacing the gas tank and all related fuel lines and pumps and rebuilt the carb. Now I want to find New tires that are OEM with the same white wall, as the car has the original tires on it that surprisingly are NOT dryrotted
I owned one (72), left in San Diego with ex-wife, Choc Brown, rode across country, great wheels
you haven't changed from the original to the HEI ignition, i just got myself a mark 4 i was wondering if there was a reason other than keeping things original, why the distributor cap was kept, also if there's a HEI you'd suggest for this model i would love to hear which one you'd recommend if any
beautiful car. I remember those cars and they were eye catchers..enjoy
