Completing the Dream

About 47-years ago my teenage son bought a 1948 Dodge coupe. He never did anything with it. He dragged this old bird all over the place but seldom was serious progress ever made.

Unfortunately he came down with throat cancer and passed away 3 years ago. I felt compelled to complete this dream that he couldn’t and have undertaken the restoration of this classic.

Lots of people think I’m nuts to start this at age 83. It keeps me off the street and out of the bar. I will try and keep you posted

Keep at it Dave, I bought a 47 Club Coupe when I was 23. It sat in my Dad's garage for 30 years and most of that time my son wanted to restore it with me. He passed at 24 yo 10 years ago, and since then I've been getting it done. I'm almost done. Hope to be driving it this summer. Making up for wasted time. I wish you God speed.
